A people's budget with strategies for sustained growth

Budget 2008 Minister for Finance, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, presented the 2008 Budget Statement in Parliament on 15 February 2008. The Budget aims at:

  • Encouraging R&D activities in Singapore for future growth
  • Keeping Singapore competitive and relevant through tax changes
  • Helping Singaporeans to cope with rising cost of living

The annual Budget review conducted by KPMG Tax Services examines the changes, implications and impact of this Budget on the individual, business and economy.
