SINGAPORE Illustrative Financial Statements 2007
The Singapore Illustrative Financial Statements illustrates best practice disclosures, updated to comply with the latest requirements of the Singapore Companies Act, Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and the Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) Listing Manual, applicable to companies with a financial year ending on 31 December 2007.
This publication reflects FRSs in issue at 30 September 2007 that are required to be applied by an entity with a financial year beginning on 1 January 2007. FRSs that are effective for financial years beginning after 1 January 2007 have not been adopted early in preparing these illustrative financial statements.
The most significant accounting changes in 2007 are the implementation of FRS 107 Financial Instruments: Disclosures and FRS 40 Investment Property. While FRS 40 only impacts companies that have investment property, FRS 107 is applicable to all companies, regardless of the size or industry, that have financial instruments.”
