Community Involvement
KPMG has a long history and tradition of community involvement. Teaching a 10-year-old to build a Web page, distributing food to the needy, and even performing an opera to raise funds are just a few of the ways KPMG professionals dedicate their time and resources to help people in the communities where they live and work.
In Singapore, KPMG Community Matters is an initiative to encourage KPMG staff to play a more active role in community service and contribute to the less fortunate in our community. It reaffirms the commitment of KPMG to turn knowledge into value for the benefit of its clients, its people and its communities.
Past projects under KPMG's Community Matters programme have included blood donation exercises, bone marrow donor testing, volunteer recruitment programmes with Singapore's Ministry of Community Development and Sports, involvement with the Singapore Red Cross Society's fund raising and clothing collection programmes, fund-raising on Red Nose Day and support of the Singapore Breast Cancer Foundation's activities.
